The system was failing to meet conducted emission limit requirements with a standard, off-the-shelf filter due to the very high electromagnetic noise generated within the control cabinet. Roxburgh EMC engineers investigated the issue and were able to solve the problem with a rigorous and methodical test regime and delivered a production ready solution within eight weeks.
Using our mobile compliance testing equipment we visited the client’s site immediately to conduct investigations. Within one day we were able to demonstrate a visible emissions improvement with some minor design changes and subsequently arranged for the apparatus to be delivered to our laboratory for comprehensive testing.
As the application was unique, we took two weeks to develop a bespoke prototype filter which met shape, size and terminal parameters to fit the control enclosure. Upon confirmation that this solved the EMC issue, we proceeded to make the filter production ready with completion in six weeks.
With Roxburgh EMC’s tailored solutions, the client’s apparatus now meets conducted emissions limits and the prompt resolution enabled the client to reach the live trails stage within their intended timeframe.
